Twitter: We sometimes advertise our events on Twitter, and they require us to note the following regarding their conversion tracking tools, etc.: "we are working with third parties to collect user data for conversion tracking and serving ads targeted to users’ interests, and you can opt out of interest-based advertising through methods that Twitter may specify from time to time here."

SECTION 1 - WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION?

When you purchase something from us or otherwise pay us or register for an event, as part of the buying and selling and/or registration process, or when registering for our list, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address.

When you browse our site, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.

When you give us your email, you agree we may send you emails about our events, new offerings and other updates.


SECTION 2 - CONSENT

How do you get my consent?

When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, sign up for our list, register for an event, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that reason and for other reasons like marketing (but you may always unsubscribe if you wish).


How do I withdraw my consent?

You may withdraw your consent for us to contact you, for the continued collection, use or disclosure of your information, anytime, by contacting us at contact@techfire.co .


SECTION 3 - DISCLOSURE

We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service. We may also disclose your personal information to vendors, consultants, contractors, speakers, moderators, sponsors, etc. who are involved with our events and other services (for instance, we may share RSVP lists with those involved with an event, so they know who to expect).   If third party registration systems hosted by our venues are used, or if otherwise noted on the registration page, RSVP details may be shared with the venue.   In the case of events that we organize as with other partners or in a consulting arrangement, we may share your details with them (e.g. our Burbank event series that we organize for the City of Burbank, we provide registration details to them).  


SECTION 4 - WEBSITE, TOOLS, and EVENTS

We use website hosts such as Squarespace and other services, and we also use a variety of ticketing/sales and payment processing tools such as Eventbrite or Tito (which in turn use payment processors such as Stripe) to process orders. We also may use crowdfunding sites such as Tilt, Indiegogo, Kickstarter, other other hosting and payment sites. Your order processing data is stored through their data storage and databases.  Your email and other personal information (excluding credit card numbers) may also be stored by us, and by our mailing list software (e.g. Mailchimp, or other sites).  You agree that the applicable privacy policies and terms of these third parties shall apply, and you may view more information on their websites (e.g. for Stripe, view their privacy policy, and their terms (for details on their PCI compliance, for instance).


SECTION 5 - THIRD-PARTY SERVICES


In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.

However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.

For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.

In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located in a different jurisdiction than either you or us. So if you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located.

Once you leave our store’s website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our website’s Terms of Service.

When you click on links on our store, they may direct you away from our site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and encourage you to read their privacy statements.

If we are acquired or merged with another company, or if we change our corporate structure (LLC, S/C corporation, etc.) or spin off (or merge/sell) part or all of our operations into a separate entity, your information may be transferred to the new entity/owners/structure so that we may continue to serve you and/or continue to sell services/products to you.
