Scam / Impersonation Warning

Scam / Fraud / Impersonation Warning from TechFire CEO David Murphy:

I have been alerted there is someone impersonating TechFire and myself to scam people. Someone is using an online “sugar daddy” (!) “arrangements” site to meet people and claiming to be me (David Murphy, CEO of TechFire) and offering to supposedly hire people at TechFire requiring they first wire money upfront as collateral. Obviously, this is a scam. We have filed a police report with LAPD and asked victims to also alert law enforcement as well.

If you’re a potential victim seeing this, be warned, this is a scam. Please contact law enforcement. We will never ask someone to pay us to be hired — this is scam.

And to the criminal — we have zero-tolerance for impersonation and scams and have alerted the police and FBI. Cease and desist immediately.
